Quidworth uses a small number of cookies and browser-storage keys, all of them either strictly necessary to provide the service you asked for (signing in) or used solely to remember display preferences you chose. Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), storage of this kind does not require consent. We set no analytics, advertising, or tracking cookies of any kind, and no third party sets cookies through this site. Our usage statistics come from a self-hosted, cookieless analytics tool (Umami) that stores nothing at all in your browser - see our Privacy Policy for details.

Cookie (essential)
Keeps you signed in to your account. Without it, you would have to sign in on every page.
Lifetime: Expires when your session ends or you sign out.
horizon-months
Cookie (preference)
Remembers the projection horizon you last chose (for example 10 or 25 years).
Lifetime: Persistent until cleared.
real-terms
Cookie (preference)
Remembers whether you switched figures to “today’s money” (inflation-adjusted) view.
Lifetime: Persistent until cleared.
quidworth-cookie-notice-dismissed
Browser storage (localStorage)
Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice so we don’t show it again.
Lifetime: Persistent until you clear your browser storage.

If this ever changes

If we ever introduce cookies that are not strictly necessary - for example analytics - we will ask for your consent through a clear opt-in banner before any such cookie is set, and update this page first. Continuing to browse will never be treated as consent.

Managing cookies

You can delete or block cookies at any time in your browser settings. Blocking the session cookie means you cannot stay signed in; blocking the preference cookies simply resets those views to their defaults.
